The elegance of Japan comes to Bordeaux: Discover traditional kimonos and refined cuisine at Pavillon Yuasa

In the heart of Bordeaux, the Japanese restaurant Pavillon Yuasa doesn’t just delight your taste buds… Here, every detail pays homage to Japanese art and tradition.

Kimonos: Living Symbols of Japanese Art

We recently decorated our dining room with authentic, carefully woven traditional kimonos, reflecting a craftsmanship passed down for centuries. Each kimono tells a story: that of Japan, its beauty, its refinement, and its deep respect for tradition. These rare pieces create a unique atmosphere, immersing our guests in the timeless elegance of Japan.

A soy sauce born in the cradle of Japanese tradition

Our identity goes beyond decoration. The heart of our cuisine rests on an iconic product: artisanal soy sauce, made using ancestral methods in Yuasa, a small historic Japanese village considered the birthplace of shoyu for over 750 years. This soy sauce, slowly fermented without additives, is the result of a collaboration between our Japanese master brewer and an organic winery in Saint-Émilion. A unique fusion of French terroir and Japanese tradition.

Wagyu, sushi and respect for authenticity

At Pavillon Yuasa, we believe that true Japanese gastronomy lies in the balance between simplicity and excellence. Our Japanese chef makes a point of respecting culinary traditions: Wagyu sushi, tender and delicately marbled Impeccably fresh sashimi Dishes enhanced by our Yuasa soy sauce Each bite is an ode to Japanese culture and a journey between Bordeaux and Japan.
