At Pavillon Yuasa we take the protection of your personal data seriously. This policy explains what data we collect, why we collect it, how long we keep it, and what rights you can exercise. It is written in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the French Data Protection Act.

Given the size and nature of the business, no Data Protection Officer has been appointed. You may send any request directly to the e-mail address above.

2. Data we collect

Online reservations. First and last name, e-mail address, telephone number, number of guests, requested date and time, and any special requests you choose to share with us. This data is collected and processed by our reservation provider, Zenchef.

Contact and press enquiries. Name, media outlet where applicable, e-mail address and the content of your message.

Reservations by telephone. Name, telephone number and the information needed to hold your booking.

Website usage. IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, date and time of visit, and referring site. This information is collected through cookies and similar technologies, and only after your consent as regards non-essential cookies.

We do not collect any payment card data on this website. We do not deliberately collect sensitive data: any information you volunteer about allergies or dietary requirements is used solely to prepare your meal and is not retained beyond the service.

This website is not intended for children under 15 and we do not knowingly collect their data.

3. Purposes and legal bases

• Managing reservations and welcoming you to the restaurant — performance of a contract (GDPR art. 6(1)(b)).
• Responding to your contact and press enquiries — our legitimate interest in replying to people who contact us (art. 6(1)(f)).
• Measuring audience and improving the website — your consent (art. 6(1)(a)).
• Website security and prevention of abuse — our legitimate interest in protecting our systems (art. 6(1)(f)).
• Meeting our accounting and tax obligations — legal obligation (art. 6(1)(c)).

4. Retention

We keep your data for as long as it is needed for the purposes described above, and then delete it. Records we are required by law to keep, in particular accounting documents, are retained for the applicable statutory period.

5. Recipients and processors

Your data is never sold or rented. It is accessible to the restaurant team and to the following technical providers, who act on our behalf:

• Zenchef (France) — online reservation module.
• Google Ireland Limited — audience measurement (Google Analytics 4) and Google Search Console, via Google Site Kit.
• TenWeb, Inc. (10Web) (United States) — website hosting.
• Cloudflare, Inc. (United States) — content delivery network and security.
• CookieYes Limited — management of your cookie consent.

Your data may also be disclosed to administrative or judicial authorities where the law requires it.

6. Transfers outside the European Union

Some of our providers are established in the United States. Such transfers are governed by the Standard Contractual Clauses adopted by the European Commission and, where applicable, by the provider’s certification under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework.

7. Cookies

On your first visit, a banner lets you accept or refuse non-essential cookies. No audience-measurement cookie is placed before you consent. You can change your choice at any time using the cookie settings button on the site.

• Strictly necessary cookies — required for the site to work and to remember your cookie choice. No consent is required for these.
• Audience measurement cookies — Google Analytics 4, placed only after consent, to understand which pages are visited and improve the site.
• Reservation cookies — placed by Zenchef when you use the reservation module.

You can also configure your browser to block cookies, although some features of the site may then stop working correctly.

8. Security

The site is served entirely over HTTPS. We apply appropriate technical and organisational measures — regular updates, access control and an application firewall — to protect your data against unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure or destruction.

9. Your rights

You have the following rights over your personal data: access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, objection, portability, the right to withdraw your consent at any time, and the right to give instructions concerning your data after your death.

To exercise these rights, write to utsukushin216@gmail.com or by post to the registered office above. We will reply within one month. Where there is reasonable doubt about your identity, we may ask you for proof of identity.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy, in particular if the website or the applicable regulations change. Any change will be published on this page together with an updated revision date.
